About the studio
North & Co. is a Brooklyn-based design studio founded in 2018 by Mara North and a small group of senior designers from agencies like Pentagram and Mucca. We work primarily with early-stage founders, mission-driven brands, and cultural institutions to build identity systems that feel inevitable rather than designed.
Our process is collaborative and research-led. We spend the first weeks of every engagement immersed in the business — talking to customers, auditing existing assets, and writing the brand story before a single mark is drawn. We believe great design only happens when it's earned.
